Some of Boston’s most recognizable sights just got a whole lot sweeter.

These incredible edible images of Boston are baked up by a company called A Dozen Eggs. They specialize in hand-iced sugar cookies that are as much fun to look at as they are to eat. A Dozen Eggs makes cookie collections for all seasons and occasions, but their Beantown tin has put them on the map.

Laura Courtemanche – Owner, A Dozen Eggs: “People really liked the Beantown cookies… and a lot of people really liked that they had a cookie that is Boston… And we sort of sat for a while and thought about all the different types of cookies we could do to represent Boston, and really a lot of the things that we thought of were signs… This is our Citgo sign cookie, which is something that when you see it you think of Kenmore Square and Fenway Park… Newbury Street I sort of wanted to appeal to people who come to Boston to shop… When you come to Boston, how do you get around? You take the T, and I thought this was kind of a simple and kind of cool cookie.”

But there are more than signs on this tasty tour of Boston. Red Sox Nation is fully represented.

Laura Courtemanche – Owner, A Dozen Eggs: “I didn’t really want to steal the Red Sox and write Red Sox on the jersey, so I figured a jersey that was red and white and said Boston would get the message across.”

There’s even a salute to the swans.

Laura Courtemanche – Owner, A Dozen Eggs: “The Swan Boat was my most difficult cookie, it has a fair a amount of detail work in it.”

The best way to get a bite of Beantown is to order a tin online at adozeneggs.com. A large tin of crisp, crunchy, buttery cookies is forty-two dollars, and small is twenty-four. But do customers love ‘em the looks, or the taste?

Laura Courtemanche – Owner, A Dozen Eggs: “I think sort of think people like the looks of the cookie, and the fact that it tastes good is just an added bonus.”

Boston never looked, or tasted, so good, thanks to A Dozen Eggs, a Phantom Gourmet… Hidden Jewel.
