Union Oyster House near Boston’s famous Faneuil Hall is America’s oldest restaurant, so it’s mobbed by tourists. Phantom says skip the overpriced entrees and slip into the cozy oyster bar instead, where Daniel Webster ate every day. It’s curved like a horseshoe and small enough to get lots of attention from expert shuckers slicing littlenecks and cherrystones to order. If you’re hungry for more, they have lobsters at up to ten whopping pounds. The rest of the wood beam rooms are filled with glass lanterns and old historical photos, and be sure to stop by the famous Kennedy Booth, which was always reserved for J.F.K.
