Sol Azteca is a beautiful setting of exposed brick and white stucco walls. The old world Mexican cuisine is complete with Phantom’s favorite mole sauce. This rich, dark, reddish-brown mixture is a complex pounding of dozens of spices, seeds, nuts, and even Mexican chocolate, served over boneless chicken breast. The sangria is wonderfully potent, and the Mexican coffee is fragrant with cloves. For dessert there’s caramel custard Flan or wonderfully light Coconut Cheesecake. Head to the second location in Newton Center for fabulous outdoor seating.
