Cheers Beacon Hill has become much more than a neighborhood watering hole due to its fame as the inspiration for the hit TV show, Cheers. Formerly known as the Bull & Finch, this Boston legend hardly looks like its televised counterpart on the inside. Busloads of tourist crowd the back room and browse the gift shop. Even so, this place captures the energy of a much-loved pub. While Sam and Diane are not there to greet everyone, the well-known Eddie Doyle, one of the city’s favorite bar masters, is sure to be around. Even if he doesn’t know your name, he’s happy to pose for a picture and serve up a pint. There’s now a second location in Faneuil Hall.
